UPDATED: More LP cosmetic make-ups

Re: UPDATED: More LP cosmetic make-ups

Beautiful guitar man. Am I the only one that just can't stand black appointments on Les Pauls? I'd leave the pickups gold, ditch the pickguard, put on amber tophats or amber speed knobs, and swap the toggle switch washer and pickup mounts for white or cream (I can't tell what color the binding is). Actually, if it was really mine, I'd do all that except I'd ditch the toggle switch washer as well. I don't have them on any of my Les Pauls.

I still like #1 and #2 the best :)

Me too. Keep the pickguard and either do as Gearjoneser says (pair of gold-covered Duncans) or go with double blacks.

What's so great about the WCR Fillmore bridge? Get a pair of Seths in gold! :naughty:

Re: UPDATED: More LP cosmetic make-ups

I say #1 :) Classic look with pickup covers. Lp's pickups without covers seem to look too "Hot Rodded" to me. But that's just me. I'm a very old school kinda guy. If certain things gives the guitar it's own character, i usually leave it alone. :burnout:

1 or 3 would be my choice. I really like how the axe looks now. The Zebra coils are a neat look too though. I think the PG adds to the "LP Custom" look. (which I am quite fond of)

put some nickel covers on the 4th one from the right and that'd be my fave...cream pguard, amber top hats

i think the EMG one LOOKS coolest, but if you put EMGs in there, i might have to slap you
