Upgrading the Squier Bullet Special

I just gotten a Squier Bullet Special from a sale and now I plan on upgrading it.

1) Change the humbucker PU to maybe custom custom.

2)I also wish to add another near the neck at make the guitar a 2-2 combination. However my friend reminded me that there's no cavity (hope i didn't get the term wrong) for the PU. So that means I need to ask the guitar tech to saw a cavity? pls advise me....

3) Install a 3-way switch and coil split and tone knob.

Can the above be done?

Yup, but you should leave it a single hum. They're way too cool like that

You should get the Bullet with 3 single coils. It's routed out to take any combination of pickups.
