With 67 Votes and 57.76% of the total, our pickup is going to be a Humbucker.

With this poll, let's decide if it will be a dual coil, or a single coil in a humbucker size, along with neck or bridge position. Please pick only one of each type of option.

Hey Trev! This poll doesn't make any sense lol! Open another poll for the position we're shooting for. Hell start another one with the pole piece type why you're at it. No reason we can't have 2 or 3 going at once!

You forgot the Prail form factor to bro! Prail with parallel axis poles FTFW!

Re: User Group Pickup Specs Poll #2

Is a P-Rail technically dual coil? I think that might be an option for a further poll. I'm not trying to be argumentative. I'm just thinking that option may not be disallowed by this poll.

Re: User Group Pickup Specs Poll #2

I'd take it as it was. It's still 2 coils side by side on 1 base plate.

Re: User Group Pickup Specs Poll #2

How about a Toastertop'Tron? Ah, no. Somebody already makes something like that.

Re: User Group Pickup Specs Poll #2

If it's gonna be just another humbucker, let's fill a void.

I would like to see a specialized neck humbucker that does something about the neck position in many Les Pauls (and hardtail Fenders) being too boomy. So far I can slam in a screamin' demon but I would really like to have standard PAF polepieces for looks and to smooth things over a bit.

Re: User Group Pickup Specs Poll #2

I would want a hotter, stronger, clearer, and beefier neck pickup that the one Seymour Duncan produces now (without being an active one). This is to match it with strong medium & high output bridge pickups.

What do you people say?

Have to say that I like this idea. Just voted for neck position.

That's the spirit!

If we can put this together with a tone-matching neck p'up to the '59/Custom Hybrid, that'll be simply WONDERFUL.

I think it makes sense... The P-Rail style is a dual coil...

Once we get a couple of base things in I can run a couple of poll at the same time to speed up the fleshing out of the design.

Re: User Group Pickup Specs Poll #2

Why is a humbucker-sized single coil on the list? That ain't a humbucker. Kind of like one of the losers being allowed into a runoff election. I'll hold my vote until that is clarified.

I think they're interpreting the last poll as something that mounts into a humbucker sized cavity/pickguard.

Re: User Group Pickup Specs Poll #2

Dual coil, neck position for me, I need two (maybe even three) please!!!

Not that if a set was an option I wouldn't go for it, but I am pretty happy with my bridge buckers so far.

One Suhr, two Andersons and the rest of 'em Duncans (JB, Custom 8, Crazy 8, Alt 8).
Love all of 'em!

Re: User Group Pickup Specs Poll #2

I was thinking '78 companion in the neck. Bright but full with lots of clarity.

Dominus has it right. It's not likely to win, but we have to give everything a chance!
