Using a '59 in my San Demon

I've been building this from scratch... Northern Ash Body and pretty **** fine Birdseye Neck if I may say so myself; the markers are Abalone. Old non-fine tuner Floyd, Vintage Schallers, a '59, and Volume only. The color is Dodge Viper Blue. This is only a test fit and I can't wait to plug this one in!

I made a pickup ring from the same piece of Birdseye that I made the neck from.

The color is awesome. The birdseye neck and mounting ring are awesome. I love the simplicity of a single humbucker guitar as well. The only thing I would change is a new Floyd Rose with the fine tuners, but that's just preference. Perfect.

i have several fine-tuner floyd equipped guitars so i thought i would go old-school on this one. yeah, the dodge viper blue is screamin' in person. i'm doing a walnut inlay on the headstock right now. i thought about making a birdseye volume knob, but thought the chrome kind of pulled it all together.

Okay, now I'm second-guessing my pickup choice...

With the Northern Ash body / Birdseye Maple neck what would be the suggested pup to install? I'd really like a tone that I don't know how to describe so I might just have to try them all and see what I like the best.

i sure like that!!!! metallic and darker blue is one of my favourite colours... i wonder how much that bridge without fine tuners will be a tuning hassel......

yes, i'm really diggin' the blue; it looks really good up close.

i actually had that floyd on this bumblebee for a while and i used it heavily. never had any unusual tuning issues. nothing beyond most other guitars.

that old original Floyd kind of suits the Bumble Bee axe.... it's almost period correct for the guitar you copied.. still i love the blue!

almost, i have since dismantled that guitar and the parts are shelved. i'm diggin' the blue too, that's why it's getting the floyd now.
