Using a round rocker switch in place of the pickup selector toggle?

Not sure if this is the exact correct place to ask this, but here goes....

I have an Agile LP guitar and my pickup selector toggle switch broke off ages ago when the guitar was dropped. I found I actually prefer having it broken off because I always used to bump the switch with my strumming hand. SO, I thought it might be a cool idea to replace the toggle switch with a really low-profile button instead of having the long switch sticking out. That way, it works again and it won't be in my way (Plus it will be really cool looking)

So does anyone know if it's possible to puchase something similar to this: https://i.imgur.com/QO0afZn.png to use? It's called a "round rocker switch". I do notice in the ones I have pulled up that they do not have all the same connectors as a regular guitar selector pot, so I'm thinking I would have to find something specifically made for guitars.

And just in case someone suggests it, I am not really down with the idea of replacing one of my four volume or tone knobs with the pickup selector.. I mean, I may if I really have to, but for now, I am not even considering it.

They have 3 connections points, and offer an A/OFF/B selection. You just have to wire (solder) the correct wiring. Note these tend to be 2 way selector, not a three way (middle point is OFF so nothing passes through).

So your selection would be Bridge/OFF/Neck.

That's pretty much what I thought. I usually never play with both pickups so 2-way would work with me if I had no other choice.. thanks

Auto parts stores will have a bunch of cool types of switches a lot of times. No reason in the world why they won’t work on a guitar.

I frequently wire my friends guitars with auto part switches
He likes them. Says the hold up better

I don't like the toggle position on LPs either

One of the reasons I got the one in my signature was the single volume single tone and repositioned switch

You can move the switch placement to the knob area
And block the hole with one of the auto body filler panel plastic thingy

I'm tempted to similarly swap out the three-way toggle with something more streamline now that you have given me the idea, as I can see smacking it as well by accident, or get a rotary switch (generally six position).

Don't you hate that?! It's just another obstacle in the way of your strumming hand. I really hope I can find a little button to put in there.. that would be awesome.

You could always put the switch between the four knobs

Re: Using a round rocker switch in place of the pickup selector toggle?

If you don't want the both pickups on option, any two position on/on switch will work. Try Amazon, eBay, etc and see if you find something you like. It might be hard to find one small enough for the hole in your guitar if it's not a toggle, though. Good luck!
