Using active jack for passive pickups

Hey guys,
Can I use an active (stereo) jack for passive pickups? I'm converting a guitar from active to passive. I'd rather just disconnect the battery wire and leave everything else as is. Would this work as long as the hot and ground wires are connected?

Yup. No need for a new jack.

Much obliged.

Sometimes routing the jack and ground through Vs and such can be a pain. Last time I had to use a coat hanger.
