Using patchbay's with Amp's footswitch

For use with my setup, am I able to use a patchbay to with my amp's footswtich? I have a few cables I would like to tidy up.

Signal chain Footswitch -> Cable -> Patchbay -> Cable -> Amp's channel switch input.
