V-Picks are the ONLY Heat Tempered Acrylic Pick

Lately I have been getting the same emails or phone calls, and I get them often. It usually goes something like this one.....

"Hi Vinni, I just wanted to drop you a note and say I am hooked on your picks. They are like crack! No matter what other picks I play or try out, they just don't measure up to V-Picks. The others sound weak and dull. Some even sound like someone put a blanket on my amp. The feel and grip is just not the same. I don't know what you are doing to make your picks like they are, but KEEP DOING IT!"

Honestly, I get this letter or phone call OFTEN.

Well let me tell you what we do here at V-Picks to give you the best pick possible. The length and degree we go to is astounding.

First, we spare no expense at buying our materials. They are the best of the best. Hand picked out by our suppliers and most of the time we have to order them and wait for weeks or months at times. You cannot get a good pick from bad material. Period. Inferior materials render inferior products. You can bank on that one.

But one thing I have not told anyone up to this point is this, we heat temper our guitar picks. We have been doing this now for some time. Why am I letting the cat out of the bag? Because I doubt seriously that any other pick company would spend the time or money to do this process. But we do it for you! Also, good luck to them in trying to figure out how it is done! But I am a FREAK! I will stop at nothing to make the best picks possible for you. I do not want to make a good guitar pick, or even a great guitar pick. I want to make the BEST guitar pick on this planet! That is my goal. I spend a lot of time researching and learning every day about my art. Lately, since moving to Nashville, I found out about tempering acrylic. It is much like tempering metal or glass. It is done with heat. I learned it from an aquarium maker and also a guitar builder that heats and cools his woods. What this process does is condense the acrylic and makes it much more dense. It becomes less porous, stronger and smoother as well. This means a better feeling and sounding pick with a very fast, low friction, gliding action.

Another benefit gained by tempering is the wear factor. A denser, less porous surface will supply longer wear and service. Simple. However, our picks still do not take well to pick scrapes. Do not pick scrape with a V-Pick! If I catch you doing so, I will personally drive to your house, grab your guitar and play 15 verses of Smoke on the Water! So there!

We have been doing a lot of festivals lately and I have had many competitor's picks tossed up on our counter, and the customer just laughs and says "Here, you want this? I don't." This happens more than you may think. I have even had folks call me on the phone offering to send them to me. True story! I can tell in seconds by feeling them whow put the work into their product and who didn't. And we're doing it!

Bottom line is this. I have been making guitar picks since 1980. I have done my homework. I talk to machinists, chemists, manufacturers, but most importantly, to guitar players. These are the reasons that players like Carlos Santana, Walter Becker from Steely Dan and Brad Whitford from Aerosmith, Danny Korchmer, Mike Scaccia and many more trust V-Picks with their livelihood.

The glow in the dark ones sound best.

Seriously, the GITD ones feel like they are made of a different material, same or very similar to the Pearlys. They have a softer and warmer feel and sound to them. Pearly Gates pointed is a nice pick

:D

i am a big fan - to me, they do not sound any different compared to the dunlop gel picks i have used for over a decade ... but i have definitely noticed that my pick is no longer an inhibitor to me playing my best ... specifically, my picking hand can keep up with my fretting hand now ... my sweeps are cleaner, my alternate picking is MUCH faster and more articulate ... there is much less (essentially NO) resistance as the pick moves across the string ... and yes, somehow, it has enabled me to also grip the pick softer which provides a much greater touch sensitivity in my picking hand dynamics

highly recommend

I've tried a whole bunch of the vpicks, gotta say I have liked most of them. My favorite is the small lite in 1.5 mm. Hey Vinnie!! You have to make the small lite in red or pearly. I can't find it half the time :eyecrazy:. The small in clear 2.75 mm I can drop anywhere and I always see it, the 1.5mm seems to disappear!

They will very soon be available in a beautiful Sapphire Blue. Maybe next week!

I've got about 20 now (various styles) and even though I struggle fooling around with the mandolin, these picks make my playing better. And others have noticed.
I'm in it for life!

I'm confused by this thread...

To the OP: Obviously you are selling a product (of interest to guitar players) and it seems people like your product, but you essentially just posted your company's sales pitch on another company's website. Smells a little like :spam:

Make it worthwhile. How about a special offer to forum members? Heck, I'd be willing to try one.
