Value Of Blender Pot??

If I'll be using 1-500k vol, 1-500k tone for my two P90'/Antiqs, should i be uusing a 500k blender? What would a 250k blender do, suck out some highs? Grazie~

Even a 500k blender will suck out some tone. It's just one more "load" for your pups to see. 250k will be even worse. Go 500k if you can.

But it's all subtle. It may even provide some "warmth" that you might like. You just have to try it and see.

You mean a blend pot? A blender is a Tele thing.

Use 500k. Keep in mind that resistors in parallel divide. So two 500k pots equal 250k load on the pickups.

If you are taking about a 500k dual gang blend pot, that puts a 250k load on the pickups. Add in the 500k volume control and you have 167k load.

He means the Lindy Fralin blend pot. Single gang.

P.S. In your situation, I'd go with a 1meg vol and blend pot. They're a bit harder to find, but available.

You have to no load the blender or else there will always be a little bit of the other pickup blended in.

Are you talking a blend pot, or a blender?

For a blend pot you can disconnect the grounds. You reduce the load, but you never totally mute the other pickup.

Blenders are different

It's to reduce the "load" on the pups. But Clint 55 is correct. Use a no-load pot. I never use a blend pot myself, so I sometimes forget that.

No. The value of the blender pot is still important. Do 500k. For example, if you did 10k, your blend pot would be an on/off switch. You want some "blend" capability. Do 500k and call it a day.

A "blender" pot, in your application, is just a regular pot. It's the way you wire it up that makes it a blend pot. Just get a regular pot. You could just order this one to make it simple.
