Hey Everyone,
So, I have 180 bucks to blow on new speakers or I could save up and get an attenuator for 300 but, I figure the speakers will need to be upgraded anyways so I might as well do it now. It'll dramatically change the voicing of the amp won't it? Well, I can get two speakers this week and two next week with my next check so...
I've been looking at these speakers, but there are just so many choices I can't decide which ones are best. People who have eminence speakers- feel free to chime in.

I want a speaker with tight bass that is very articulate with great harmonics and handles distortion really well. At the same time it has to have a great clean. I use a peavey valveking head also. I play mostly metal but, also play classic rock and the blues when the mood strikes me. Some bands/guitarists I model my sound after are: lamb of god, iron maiden, black sabbath, van halen, zakk wylde, randy rhodes, hendrix, angus young, yngwie malmsteen, slash etc. I use an gibson sg special with jazz/jb combo and I like really trebly tone with scooped mids that is articulate. Clean tone I like to be sparkly, with lots of top end( I roll down the tone knob when I want to get rid of the brightness)
Now I realize that half of that stuff might not be relevent when selecting a speaker but, I included it anyways just to help you guys narrow my choices a bit. Its much appreciated. Thanks! :biglaugh:
