Valvetronics: JTM 45/Spina Modded SD-1

Hey guys, here's a very short sample of my Vox. Please forgive the crappy playing....... BTW, you'll know when I kick in the pedal. And check out the added sustain since changing the tremolo on the Strat.

Strat, Antiquity Texas Heats, #4 pos, into low input, UK Blues(JTM 45), compressor(Drive 1 level 1), Gain 11, Vol maxed, Treb 2 , mid maxed, bass 12, presence maxed, MV maxed, Reverb (plate 11)

Add a nice od pedal to the mix, like my SD-1, and look out! It really responds well to minimal amount of boost. It really gets throaty yet retains the articulation. I've got my SD1 set at:

Level 11, Tone 1, Drive 9

Once again, download the MP3 for the best sound

Sounds good, Ryan-that would sound pretty hot w/#2

Did you go w/ the callaham trem and block?

Re: Valvetronics: JTM 45/Spina Modded SD-1

Thanks Dave, not yet on the Callaham. My buddy showed up the other day with a single piece(not bolt on) vintage trem unit and I dropped it in. Before I did though I found out that it was an old MIJ Washburn, cast steel and weighing in at 350g. That's just a small amount less than the '62 RI or the Callaham and a whole lot more than the stock MIM pot metal POS.

Check out the thread on this:

10-4 I just was at that other thread-

BTW, any tips on ID-ing a fender vintage styled trem? MIA or otherwise?

Not really sure there, Lew may know.

Re: Valvetronics: JTM 45/Spina Modded SD-1

Yeah, for sure Lew would know. Hey, Jump, I can't get to the file. Everytime I click on that SC link it takes me there, and starts logging me out of my SC account. Are you linking to your personal update page/band administration page, maybe? I'd love to hear this clip.

Re: Valvetronics: JTM 45/Spina Modded SD-1

That's strange, I went right to the my soundclick clips page without a problem when I clicked on it. Might be a popup blocker issue?

Re: Valvetronics: JTM 45/Spina Modded SD-1

You are getting there b/c you are logged in. We get a message saying we have just logged out of Soundclicks. Logout then post the link that gets us to the clips.

Sounds good man. Nice playing and classic strat tone. I dig it :beerchug:

Re: Valvetronics: JTM 45/Spina Modded SD-1

Thanks, I love those Ant's and John's modded SD-1! The Valvetronics isn't too bad either.....cool amp.

Re: Valvetronics: JTM 45/Spina Modded SD-1

Pretty cool bro. I like that clean tone a lot.. very glassy. Nice chops too.

Stupid Soundclick, that site works intermittently I guess. I clicked on the link and went right to it. Hopefully it'll work for you this time.
