Vampire finish -kinda cool

Re: Vampire finish -kinda cool

To me, there are 2 types of guitar finishes : those that will stand the test of time and still be cool in what ever decade, and then finishes that people will look at 20 years from now and go WTF was that, and think of it as a gimmick.

I don't believe this finish will become a classic.

What's up with the pickup covers having the logo facing the same direction (so one ends up upside down) on a $10k guitar?

This> ^^^^

Other than that it looks cool. But Almost 10K?!

Nope. If I give someone ten grand for a guitar, I'm going to be getting at least $8,500 in change and it's sure as hell not going to be a tampon-burst with ****tarded inlays.

I love "unique" finishes on a guitar. Not the crazy prices that come with some of them though.

Yerp. The markup for less common finishes is freaking ridiculous. I find it equally dumb when guitar manufacturers release "special editions" where the wood and electronics are downgraded but there's some cool, limited edition color on the bod, putting it firmly in the same price class as the higher quality instruments. F*cking greedy.
