I've always admired his virtuoso drinking ability. I've been drinking myself senseless on a daily basis since I first saw an image of EVH smashed out of his mind 25 years ago but even now my boozing technique is just a pale imitation of the real thing. No matter how many times I get totally off my skull there is still something I'm missing. Has anyone got any tips they can share ?

I don't think there's anything wrong with the Van Halen obsession. I mean, every sci-fi show I've ever watched establishes intergalactic communications over the Halen frequency. Clearly, the writers think it will go on hundreds, maybe even thousands of years into the future.

I was joking by the way.. I've been reading alot of Van Halen stuff lately though (on various forums) but only because I'm interested in the latest Wolfgang. Until a few weeks ago I was a complete EVH noob.. except for a few minutes of Back to the Future.

I just wish I had something to contribute other then "whammy tricks.. tapping.. cool".

I have never understood the VH fascination/obsession from some but it was before my time I guess.

He created a strong brand, you gotta give him that. He's still cashing in to this very day. Unlike Hendrix for example who died too early to enjoy it.
