Vanity Guitars

Re: Vanity Guitars

Oh look what I got

Looks good so far. Wrapped like a guitar

Printing looks awesome, just what I want

Nice lining

Let's put the guitar in and see

Hmm headstock is touching bottom but the neck is not quite there. Let's look closer

Yep heel of the neck is suspended as well

Two fingers man
I'm afraid to close the lid

My Epiphone case is much deeper and it fits in there

Re: Vanity Guitars

The Dean Shire and Epiphone are both resting on their headstocks
The Gibson has the smallest gap but I would be scared that any bump or slamming case
Would snap the headstock

I got my daughter a cheap AW case off Amazon and it was plenty deep

I may just get another one of those and try to stencil one myself

Re: Vanity Guitars

Seems like the right kind of case for a Les Paul Special.
Hmm, maybe you need one of those- just in the name of sensible use of resources, of course. So the case doesn't go to waste.

Looks great though!

Re: Vanity Guitars

I know it's so just almost perfect

Just wisht it fit

There are some local artist type places here local that do store fronts and such

If I can't make one they can hook me up

Let me see if my dude in China can resolve it

Did you get it from the same guy who sold you the guitar? You'd have a right to expect he would know the specs for it...

Re: Vanity Guitars

Naw that dude changed his store identity in the middle of my order
He got busted for counterfeiting

The headstock on the Ehdwuld is much taller than a Gibson
Almost Epiphone long
This makes it sit lower in the headstock pocket
The "wings" on the Dean headstock do the same thing

Like I said there are plenty of discount cases under $100
And a few local shops that could logo one for me

Re: Vanity Guitars

Can you somehow attach a piece of foam under the portion the neck rests on, so the headstock won’t touch?

Re: Vanity Guitars

Well I asked the vendor specifically about this particular thing
Because one of the reviewers mentioned it exactly

The vendor assured me it would fit

Re: Vanity Guitars

Just wrap some felt around a piece of foam, use the stuff you use to stick pedals on a pedal board to tack it down, and call it a day.

Re: Vanity Guitars

Well I got my money back and don't have to send the case back.

Still can't get anything to fit in it

Ordered a different case
I'll see about getting a local screen printer

Or just do it myself

Re: Vanity Guitars

Inconvenient, but fair settlement. Post the new one when you get it done.

I.put a rolled up washcloth under the neck
To get the headstock to clear
It's so high that the top won't close

Well I can close it but I can feel the strings through the top of the case

Yeah, that sucks. Hopefully your new case will be the right one.
Than maybe either try to sell this one (I know you customized the stencil) or find a straight headstock guitar for it.

Re: Vanity Guitars

This whole debacle sounds like a GREAT excuse to go shopping for another guitar… You know, one that fits the case!
