Those are supposed to be pretty good for stock Epis.

Yes sir, I just edited it to clarify. They actually do sound pretty good. But I tuned it drop b and installed blackouts hey hey hey

Yeah but what you're asking for a set is great for someone who wants to upgrade a less expensive guitar.

is the super 3 as mid-humped as descriptions say?

Ive had it a few times in different guitars including an epi sheraton. I think the mid hump is compared to the original super distortion. To me it sounds great. it is powerful enough for metal tones but the highs are a bit darker since they are bolder sounding making it very good too for cleans. I love the sd and the sd3 is a more versatile version of it. Hope this helps.
