Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

Is the echo setting good enough on this pedal to use in place of a dedicated Delay unit? This would allow me to not have to use my trusty RPD 10 Boss half rack that I've used for ions through my Fender and Marshall amps!

Re: Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

It's been a while since I used my verbzilla, But I do recall getting a very convincing Slap-Back (Be-Bopa-lula) Style sounds in the Echo setting. I have clips of the spring and plate setting. I'll try to get one of the Echo setting tomorrow if I get the chance.:D

Re: Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

Well, What KIND of delay do you mean? It can do slapback pretty well, imo.

Re: Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

Hm. I've been thinking of buying this unit. *watches thread*

Hey, John, check out the L6 website. There is a rebate coupon for a FREE tonecore module with the purchase of a pedal. But you have to buy before 2/28.

Re: Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

that free module was the kicker for me. today after work im on my way to get the verb, then ill have the echo module when ever it arrives from line 6

Re: Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

I've just ordered a Verbzilla. Should get it Friday or Saturday.

No rebate this side of the pond though. :grumble:

If I understand correctly, these modules are removable from a generic pedal 'skeleton'. Is that correct? If so, you're really getting 2 units for the price of one; of course, you couldn't use them at the same time...

Re: Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

yup thats basically it. you could buy another dock if you wanted

Re: Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

I just went to M-F and checked out the soundbytes there and have to admit that the 'Zilla looks like a pretty nice do-it-all pedal for reverb and echo. And like Jeremy mentioned, the free module w/purchase of the pedal makes it a very tempting buy.

I also just started to feel kinda disheveled, queezy, almost on the nauseous side....could be....G.A.S. ? Not again!
:smack:
Thanx guys.

Hm, interesting.. I have a friend that will be on vacation in Washington, and he might buy the Verbzilla for me. How do you proceed in order to get such a deal? *not very experienced bargainer*

I've "never" had a problem with MF Jeremy and have been buying from them since they came out...They ship quick and they normally have what I'm looking for.The local Sam Ash and Guitar Center stores alot of the time don't.:13:

I don't mind paying $150 for mine because in less than a week I'll be using it instead of waiting on it....

Re: Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

im talking about walking into the local gc and walking out the door with it.

as far as how to do that, part of it is i always buy my stuff at this store from the same guy, i buy alot of stuff, i dont waste his time and i know that i dont want to pay more than 60% of list, usually 55%. in a locally owned shop i usually dont ****er too much, but at a big evil corperation ill pay as little as possible.

Yeah that's cool....It's really only money though Jeremy! :laugh2: :laugh2:

Re: Verbzilla Pedal/How Is The "Echo" Setting?

oh believe me, i know. but id rather use it to buy whiskey or a nice steak or sushi. man im hungry.

got it last night on the way to a gig. $115 out the door with a pack of dr blues. that was only 8% over cost, i usually give em 10% but i like round numbers. but more importantly...

i used it on my gig last night. very nice, i need to play with the settings a little more but i put it on '63 spring and ran with it. quite nice sounding, not perfect but better than any other reveb pedal ive tried. its funny, i kicked it accidently and it splashed just like a real spring tank

Was that in front of the amp or in a loop?

I'm planning on using mine in the loop of my Jubilee or Tech 21, but it'll have to go in front of my JMP MV. Hoping it'll arrive today or tomorrow.
