:laugh2: Yeah...I knew it was a Champ but I always assumed it was a tweed or maybe blackface Champ. The silverface and blackface Champs are pretty much identical though...unlike the other Fenders like the Twin, Super, Vibrolux, etc. Fender/CBS changed the bias circuit of those so that silverface amps don't sound as good.
But the Champ is one of the only true Class A/Cathode bias amps...so simple and effective it's not worth changing!
True Class A because it only has one output tube.
