This was a lot of fun!! I kept it pretty vanilla since I doubled the whole thing. Thanks for checking it out.... The VH1 I have is actually an album so I was pretty much going from memory on most of it.

Next time my wife leaves I'll crank the VHT and get some phaser clips recorded- clean and dirty. Yea, it was from memory but I think 93.3 FM (The Bone) plays it at least 3 or 4 times a day here in Dallas!

That was a JB pickup which seems to do the EVH thing pretty well! I think Russ from the Atomic punks uses a JB also.

yea.....i was thinkin the same thing, but didnt want to say it for fear that i am just an idiot........something sounds off or out of key or something........the playing is still cool tho

I honestly pay little or no attention to vocals but I went back and listened again. I see what you guys are saying. I know the bass on the backing track was tuned to standard pitch so what is a guy to do? The guitar and bass sound in tune together on these laptop speakers. You don't think they would do a backing track tuned 1/4 step down like the original do you? I have other VH backing tracks and they are all tuned to standard pitch- E. Not 1/2 or 1/4 step down. Who knows :yell: . There is a reason I normally do instrumentals and not this stuff.... thanks for taking the time to listen and offer feedback! I appreciate it.

it seems like the tune might be in A?.....i have no idea about VH stuff......but when i sync my guitar to the bass notes, it sounds like Ab?.......but theres a good chance im wrong

There's your problem I guess lol.. your guitar isn't in tune with the bass either.

You can use the original backings if you want, just get rid of the left channel, and copy paste the right channel so you've got it twice and pan one left.. then you basically get the real backing track with no Ed

I've done it before and it works alright.. illegal but I doubt Ed will find me :wall:

My regular computer will hopefully be fixed today so I can check it out on a better sound system... If it is tuned to Eb I'll be hacked off b/c that is my normal tuning I have used for over 15+ years!! I actually tuned my old mutt Charvel up to record this

It's the vocal harmonies in the chorus when they say "devil" that REALLY make's me cringe .

Your tone sound's great, you nailed the feel of chorus. I enjoyed it enough to listen to it quite a few times.

But man, you should get off your ass and get more aggresive with that solo

I THINK it may be fixed. However, I am still being victimized by the sorry 1" speakers on my laptop. EVERYTHING sounds like ass so being 1/2 step out doesn't make much difference. Someone let me know if it sounds better on a decent system. I am hoping to have my regular studio PC fixed today. Thanks for the feedback!!
