VHT cab test

Just slapped this together to see how th VHT Fatbottom did recorded. Sadly I left my sm75 in my rack so I had to use the Audix I5. This is untouched.

This is the best tone you've ever gotten, IMO. It sounds a bit 'scoopy' in the low mids but still sounds huge - Try the 57, as I think this will remedy it... but this sounds ****ed good! Has the proper detail on the top end that I felt was missing from before.


The bass could be what i hear wrong with the lower mids, actually.

Those are, at least to my ears, the problems with the Audix I5. Kind of a funny response to amps. Funny thing about this cab, is alone is sounds odd, with a light top end buzz. But as soon as you play it with a cd loud or something, it shines like pure glass. Gotta get that SM57 back!
