vibrato and bends

Re: vibrato and bends

Er, are you bending only one note??? Multiples, like bending doublestops or with country licks you will pull the unbent strings out slightly, but still you have to hit the right target of the interval between the played notes so they sound right together. But to bend you need to use your ears, irrespective of how many strings are bent/unbent or anything inbetween......almost every guitar will have a slightly different feel, so going from one to the other will need a change of technique and strength. If one of these guitars has a floating trem it becomes just another part of learning how to bend properly on a guitar, something you seemingly can't do yet.

Re: vibrato and bends

Not really adding anything new, but just to echo what has already been said... By blocking the trem completely (like how Clapton does) or having it set for dive only and flush with the body it will pretty much behave like a fixed bridge.
