Les Pauls are meant to do one thing... RAWK. And that's pretty much what that song does, so IMO the job got done just fine. :D

Now that I have the ibanez RG, I can try some of the more challenging ones like "Tender Surrender", "For the love of god", and "Crushing Day".
Those should be fun.

That sounds great. One of the few shredder-dude songs I like and this was a great version. It's been a while since I listened to the original, so I can't compare your tone with Satriani's, but I will say that, imo, you nailed the spirit of the original sound.

And don't sweat the small bits of slop. I'd sound that sloppy on the slow bits!

I bet you either inspire or totally put off would be guitarists. They either think they can emulate or decide they may as well give up. Great playing.

I think that's a better tone than what Satriani had on the original recording, and I'm a satch fan ;).

You're awesome. Sure a boo boo here and there, but there were times if I were to close my eyes, sounded just like Joe. Your tone is really spot on, touch better. I'm a huge Satch fan. There were a few changes you did, that he doesn't, which definitely got my attention, and I thought it better than Joe.

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. You're a great player.

OK, back to studying scales/modes.
