Video of SFX-03

Re: Video of SFX-03

I'll wait for some other clips, preferly on amps that I like, I never had a twin rev that I digged.
Put it through some Marshall or something alike, and we willl probally be loving it alot:D

Re: Video of SFX-03

I think the camcorder mic made it sound very buzzy and not very rich at all. Gotta hear it through a mic'd up amp to get a better idea. *hint* *hint*.

I saw Rev Donzo walk by. Can't miss that hat....LOL.

The other clips are cool, Evan. Thanks for sharing those.

Edit: I want one of those strum sticks. Those are cool. Like mini dulcimer almost.

I belive it's a JB...

All those mids....LOL :smack:

Sounds like a JB to me also....

Scott is a great player....Lots of feel..

The tone sounded like it was coming out of a tin can though...But"

Re: Video of SFX-03

I asked Scott what he was using for a bridge pickup. It's a JB...for sure!

And it sounded even better, in person, through Seymour's blackface Super Reverb.

Scott did a great job demoing that pedal and explaining all the ins and outs of it (pun intended). Plus that Brian May Mod he has in the guitar is coooool!

I hate to hijack, but I've seen some mention of this Brian May mod, but no real details. Is it just series/parallel and phase switches, or something more...?

Happy *you* said it! hehe
Yeah, I don't think that video is gonna help you sell any- BUT, if the store where I teach gets it, I'd be delighted to try it.

+1. I thought the sound on the video didn't do the pedal justice. The warning from Evan helped me to not judge the pedal by the sound of the video, but the vid is more of a tease than a real promo vid. When is a good recording going to be made with one of these? All these folks on this site have posted clips in the time it takes to make a sandwich, so surely SD can take one out of the box for long enough to make a quick recording with it. Hell, I'd be willing to bet the B2D or someone would love to make a sample MP3 with one for the opportunity to try it out or buy it early if they like it.

You know if I wasn't so strapped for cash right now I'd love to buy one and then make some clips. I have my Mac now so its REAL easy for me to make clips.

Maybe someone could be so kind as to send me a test unit that I could record clips with and return when I'm done... *hint hint nudge nudge* ;)

Oh yes and you're all absolutely right... the pedal sounds FABULOUS in real life. Pure rich tube goodness!!
