Ok, I'm new to this video stuff...

Basically, this is a short neo classical sounding solo I wrote kinda inspired by Yngwie. I set out with the intention to do some random Yngwie faces, but that failed... Mostly because I don't have anywhere near the control and skill he has on guitar in the first place, let alone enough to play like him and parody him :smack: :laugh2:

So yeah, take it for what it's worth. I did kinda tense up a bit probably because I was a little bit concious of being on camera, and the phrasing came off a little rushed. :wink:





Anyone who can name me what riff I played right before I switched the camera off wins! :saeek:

Can't name the riff, but I tell you, you're even more depressing on video :D

Great stuff man. You still have time to catch up on Yngwie, although I hope you won't. Some of your creative stuff is a lot more interesting than Yngwie's speed. But that's just my opinion.

Do you finally get along well with Fred? ;)

Oh yeah man, Fred's great! It's in good use in the vid, as is a TB5 in the bridge.

I started off with it split, and then whacked it back on to full HB later on. Lowering the height of it was all it needed really :D

Yeah I'm not looking to become Yngwie much as I respect his playing, I just think this style of guitar is great fun and challenging to play and write in.

Very nice, very nice!!!

I didn't hear much rushing on the phrasing actually... you know how we're our own worst critic, right? If I could make any recommendation it would be to try to work on smoothing out the vibrato a tad but you got some good chops. :clap:

Lol, yeah you only get so much bandwith... Bit annoying but I don't have a real website to upload it to - uploading again now :)
