Vintage 808

If my cash flow wasn't low right now and i didn't need a backup amp and guitar right now...i'd never let it go...but i don't currently have enough extra cash to be a collector of vintage gear when i could make use of the other things more.

You'll be hard pressed to find one this good looking ever again...and so will i...in fact i'm sure one of these days i'll regret letting it go!

What i'm looking for...

Guitar-wise: A Nice Strat or Tele or SG (but i'm open to other offers)

Amp-wise: A small to medium size head or combo...40 watts or less...i love el84 amps, but i'm open here too really

i'm headed out of town for the weekend...and i'm not sure how much internet access i'll have where i'm going, but i'll do my best to check in and i'll definitely respond to everything Monday morning if i can't over the weekend!

i'm still kinda torn here and i've changed my mind a hundred times...but i really can't afford to be a collector ya know?!

if i had even a few extra $$$'s i'd get one of those Classic Vibes or a cheap practice amp and keep it...but i don't...so here we are!?

thanks,
mike

Re: Vintage 808

I'll trade you a killer 80's MIJ Fender Squier '62 RI Strat. I'll install new switch, controls and wiring so everything is vintage cloth covered wire.

I've got lots and lots of pickups to choose from too.

Maybe APS-2's and a Twangbanger? We'd have to talk a bit.

We could talk about some Antiquity's too....

Re: Vintage 808

how much are those vintage TS808s worth?
one that looked like it jhad been drug behind a truck and chewed on by a dog just sold for $600 plus shipping on the bay...and it didn't have as low of a serial # either...

i really don't know the cash value...but i'll know what its worth to me if the right piece of gear comes along?

if it doesn't i'll keep it and play it till it looks like its been drug behind a truck...rofl!!!

Re: Vintage 808

Is this the same pedal you got in a $7 bin of parts at a garage sale? I'm just saying, if you find $600 stuff in $7 crap piles, you just might be... a lucky bastid.
