The SD Pickup Booster is great for this.

Honestly, if you're happy with the sound of a pickup but just want more of it there are tons of options for clean boosts. Anything from an MXR microamp, to a TC Electronics Spark, to an SP compressor with the mix turned all the way to clean.

Yeah, I'd suggest the SD Pickup Booster for sure, but if you want to solve this with a pickup swap, look at the Jerry Donahue.

An advantage of the Pickup Booster is, if you keep it first in your chain, you can use the resonance switch to get humbucker-like tones out of your singles. You cannot do that with most other pedals (GEQ, OD, Distortion, etc.) offering a boost. So while it makes a great pure gain boost, it is not a one trick pony.
