Vintage Fender Mustang

Re: Vintage Fender Mustang

somewhere between $1500 and $2k id guess, at least around here. ive seen two 69's, one red and one competition orange go in that range

Re: Vintage Fender Mustang

depends on originality of parts, finish, fretwear, that stuff as well though..

jeremys estimate sounds about right - i'd maybe suggest a bit higher, considering the extra exposure on ebay.

just MAKE SURE you give nice photos, showing everything you'd want to see if you were gonna buy.. i've seen some real awful ones come up on ebay heh

Re: Vintage Fender Mustang

thats why i put the "around here" in there. sometimes you can make a killing on ebay

Re: Vintage Fender Mustang

I had my hands wrapped around one at the Dallas Guitar show, but it was in fair to poor condition. The guy only wanted 800 for it, but there was just no way.

My first electric was a red fender mustang, no racing stripe. I'd love to find one again some day, just for nostalgia sake. It never played as good as a tele or a strat.

Re: Vintage Fender Mustang

k well my local guitar shop had one in there today that for all sakes appeared to be a 65 mustang for only 480, in decent condition other than alot of cracks in the finish. i didnt like how it played at all and wasnt to sure on its value so i didnt buy it. hopefully its still there tommorow.

Re: Vintage Fender Mustang

see if there's any chance of comparing serial numbers on the neck and body.. the low price looks odd..

otherwise, you may be about to score a pretty hot deal :D

Re: Vintage Fender Mustang

Wow didn't think they were worth that much. I have blue one pretty sure it's a '60s model, i'll have to take the neck off next string change and check. I have the original HSC as well but it's beat to hell. The guitar has been around the block and is in TRUE reliced condition :)
