Re: Vintage gear thread
No pix at the moment, but as "old" stuff goes, I have:
'27 Martin 00-28K2, with very old (at least 50 years ago – probably more) conversion from Hawaiian guitar to standard guitar.
'60's Gibson B-25B acoustic (converted to slide only – might be getting electrified in the future)
'63 or so Gibson GA-5 Skylark amp, with recent repairs, including non-original speaker
'68 Gibson SG Standard, all original
'68 Gibson ES-330, all original
'68 Guild T-100D Slim Jim, all original
'68 Guild F-50 maple jumbo, non original tuners (old '70's Grovers instead – nice) – second best acoustic I've ever played
'68 Fender Princeton Reverb, all original except for re-coned speaker and external speaker jack converted to line out.
'69 or so Ampeg B-42X Jupiter tall 4x12 guitar cab with original Ampeg dolly
'70's Thomas Norwood dreadnaught (D-35 style), Brazilian rosewood, ebony board, flame maple binding – best sounding acoustic I've ever played
'70 or so Ampeg B-25B 2x15" bass cab
'75 Ampeg V-4 with single 4x12 cab
'76 Fender Musicmaster Bass (one of my main gigging instruments)
'77 Music Man Stingray bass with '80 Sabre fretless neck (the instrument I learned music on)
'70's Crybaby
'70's EHX Big Muff Pi
'70's MXR Phase 90
'70's or '80's DOD Preamp 250
And a few ultra cheap instruments as well, like a weird Vietnamese Phung-Dinh acoustic from the U.S. war era, a broken-assed old tenor guitar, a plastic banjo, etc.
My '83 Gibson black beauty might count by now. It's about 35 years old.
I don't think my '84 Fullerton AVRI or my '85 MIJ Strat really count. It's really odd to think that they are 30+ year old guitars now!
