Vintage Hot Stack Plus vs. Virtual Solo

Re: Vintage Hot Stack Plus vs. Virtual Solo

Well, to me it looks like that the dimarzio has that mid range-hump-thingy going on. IMO it could be that the duncan keeps that true single coil sound better. Not bashing dimarzio, virtual solo is an excellent pup.

Haha so youre a member on the SD forums as well. Honestly I'd say go for the SD. I think the Virtual Solo is more like a P-90 from what I hear which is why I'm going to use in the neck of a project guitar in the fall paired with a Norton in the bridge.

I've heard people say it isn't as quacky used with a middle coil in comparison to regular coils.

This is what its like in the bridge and what made me decide to try it in the neck. Keep in mind if you think its too warm he might be using 250K pots and have his amp dialed in to be really smooth.

EDIT: Another PU to consider is the Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues 2
