vintage noiseless pups

I have a set of vintage noiseless pups in my tele and the wireing all seems to be correct yet something seems off with the sound. It is like there is a compression built in the pickups, like it hits a brick wall with the volume. Like the sound is just too tight and has no body to it.

I have tried it raw with no effects with the same results... any ideas?

yup. sounds like you dont really like the tone of those noiseless pups.
have you played other teles and liked the tone? which ones?
