HI everyone.

Like the title says, what is the tighter bass responce humbucker from the vintage output series, including the screaming demon from the medium output series?

A Screamin' Demon fits that bill, but be careful, it can sound thin at lower volume levels and it's definitely on the lower output end of "medium output."

'78 model is also like that. Pearly Gates and WLH is in that territory. Though not sure your definition of "tight".

One I haven't tried, but on paper maybe a Jazz Bridge? AKA put an A5 in an AIIP bridge.

demon or jazz would be my first thoughts

I don't think you'll find anything tighter than a Demon in that output range.

If tightness is your only concern, you can cut the slotted screws flush with the baseplate to make the Demon even tighter. Don't know how pleasant that would be in the high end, but it's not the most drastic change one can make to a pickup.

The 59/Custom Hybrid can do it- it is a pretty tight pickup I'd stick to mostly Alnico V magnets over Alnico II.

I think the Demon is a safe bet. Not saying is THE tightest low-ish output humbucker out there, but it sure hits the Top 3 on that.
