Vintage Rails N vs Vintage Rails B

Hello, is there anybody out there who has experience with a Vintage Rails B placed in the neck and middle position? And knows what it sounds like in those postions in comparison to the Vintage Rails N in those positions? I'm looking for a little more punch and the Vintage Rails N sounds a bit thin to me.

Maybe wire the coils in series config rather than parallel?

I have the bridge in the mid position. Sounds weak, generally awful. Probably cause the winding is less than the neck version.
