Okay, Im looking for a pickups(humbucker) that sounds like a Gibson Burstbucker 1. Anyone have any suggestions???? Thanks, and happy shredding!

Re: Vintage Sound, but how?

Antiquity or Seth Lover would be similar but better. Alnico 2 like the Burstbucker. Lew

I also vote for the Seth Lover model as an excellent vintage-style humbucker. I have a pair in my LP Standard and absolutely love 'em.

But if you really want something that sounds like a Burstbucker, why not get a Burstbucker? :boggled:

Re: Vintage Sound, but how?

go with what these guys have said. I have not found many guitars i liked with burstbuckers, and they cost way too much for what they are. I am sure some guitars sound pretty good with them but i haven't found one yet. Get a seth or an antiquity and you will get a better sound than you thought you could from your guitar.

Re: Vintage Sound, but how?

The seths have quack like a burstbucker but are more natural and organic sounding.

I'm using an A2P bridge which has an A2 Mag as, it has some quack but not like the seths.

If you like the sound of the A5 burstbuckers then 59s are definitely the way to go. The Jazz's are a slightly more modern interpretation.

Hey Luke, can you define "quack"? Is that the same as mid range hump? I may get the A2P for bridge position, but if I like quack, then I may get the Seth's. Also How is the Antiquity versus the Seths and A2P's? Thanks :) By the way, I am naming my newborn Luke.
