vintage tremolo / floyd rose

hi
i played with my strat and i noticed that the tremolo bar was easy to push, to play
i just need some strength

when i play with a floyd rose with the same gauge strings i need more action of my arm
i have 3 springs too
so, i wonder if a strat is better for a vibrato or not

Re: vintage tremolo / floyd rose

yeah !
but i don't like that
i played with 2 springs too but when you make a bend, it will be harder

so, 2 springs= better for dive bombs but harder for bends
so, it is really hard to like a floyd rose when a standard tremolo is easier to set up and to play
i think that my next guitar won't have a floyd rose like Lukather : he knows everything about these problems
jeff Beck too

Re: vintage tremolo / floyd rose

How vigorously were you thinking to wobble the arm? How concerned are you about consistent and accurate return to pitch?

Re: vintage tremolo / floyd rose

i found a solution
for bends with a strat: the vibrato must be close to the body (floating just a little bit)

if you don't do that, the bends will be harder to make
