I used a line 6 pod 2.0 on the plexi setting thru a keely modded sd-1. Ran direct into guitar traks

How is the bottom end compared to the stock bridge pup?

The bottom end isn't as pronounced say like a 59 but is still musical. The biggest improvement on this guitar was the taming of the high end. Stock wolfie pups were eq'd with a mid scoop. These pups are eq'd with the mids close to the bottom end and the highs pulled back. That coupled with the air and virtual technology makes this guitar a favorite again.

I can't listen to the clips right now. Until I can how is the VPAF in the neck position working out for you? I've tried many neck pickups in mine and all of them are too bassey and droney. The last pickup I tried was the Air Classic neck model and even that was too droney and basey.

The best thing to do would be to listen to the clip. IMHO, the neck is not boomy. I have the neck pup installed just like the stock wolfie pups were (with the screws towards the bridge) which may make a difference. I'm very happy with these pups and this guitar.

Thanks! The lead was done with both neck and bridge, The rythm was on the bridge.

Yes the Dimarzios did just drop in, no modification needed.

My wolfie special is the USA version, non flametop. I also own a wolfgang standard which I'm going to do the same pickup swap with as soon as I get the funds.
