Sweet! Love the finish/paintjob/whatever it is you do..haha

Must be great never having to run out of frets :lmao:

Needs a Floyd though...

How does it play?

I don't think this design could use a FR. No room for a cavity for the springs. I would have to compromise access and make the heel join the body eirlier on.

I haven't finished setting it up yet but early signs indicate it will be a good player. The neck is sitting surprisingly straight  Kudos to maton and their awesome trussrods.

Re: Virtus 36

awesome build again man, you cannot complain about having too many frets, dont like them then dont play them ..... haha

seriously why neck versions of SD hotrails, Bkp sinner.

first time reading about Dimarzio shockwave. ran into to your thread, but doesnt say much. is it active, if it is where is the battery.

Thanks, i can complain about not having a a neck pickup.

Originally i had 2 bkp sinners bridge/neck but the bridge was dead. So i just put in the neck sd i had. The shockwave actually boosts them up to the point you would think its a hot bridge pup. So in a way its like having the best of both worlds.

The shockwave is a 20db booster and the battery is in the unit itself. Apparently it was a yjm thing. But i am not certain about that. if its tru or not i don't know http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/6519/sold-yngwie-malmsteen-dimarzio-shockwave-active-pickups

Aiiiiiiiiiiii! The finish is a bit bippie tie dye looking.

Ha! That it is--play with with a tie dye shirt and ripped up blue jeans

I really do dig it though--especially since the headstock matches it...I'be always preferred on dyes and colors like this that they match the head stock.

Re: Virtus 36

Even though I'm not really big on having more than 24 frets (I don't have enough skill to spread out that far) that is a beautiful guitar. Great job man!

I;m not worthy of it either I made it mostly for the challenge and so i could mess around with it. I defiantly haven't reached the limit of 24 frets. haha

Re: Virtus 36

i'm not worth of a pair of strings and 5 frets and even this i want a floyded ax.....

anyway, sick guitar dude, maybe not as impresive as the fullmap but equally sick!!
if you do a little bit of routing you could install a kahler....

Floyds are good if you like having a pain in your ass. ha nar i love them.

I am making another build in the same style as the full map but with extra frets and in a ujr style. No graphic though this is going to be my attempt at using nice wood. hehe wood.

This was made before the fullmap, Just not finished.

Yeah, I wasn't gonna say anything, but I thought this current guitar was kind of made lazily honestly, as far as adding frets goes. Cutting corners with only 36...
