Visual difference between Jackson RR3 and RR5?

I'm leaving for GC in about 15 minutes. Any last minute advice on how to tell the difference? The GC guy on the phone wasn't sure what's what, LOL. Figures.

Re: Visual difference between Jackson RR3 and RR5?

RR5 is neckthrough and TOM. RR3 is bolt on, with a Floyd. Doesn't get much easier ;)

Re: Visual difference between Jackson RR3 and RR5?

Thanks Pierre--by TOM I take it you mean like a hard tail or string through body--no Floyd.

Re: Visual difference between Jackson RR3 and RR5?

TOM = Tune-O-Matic. And yes, that's a hard tail bridge that is not strung through the body.

Well the RR5 does have a string through body. It's got a brass V plate behind the the bridge.

Thanks for straightening out the "unhip" old man, LOL! Much appreciated everybody. I'm out the door. Prol won't come home with a guitar, but I want to get an idea of what I'm getting into. I had a Kramer Baretta and a REALLY rare Kramer American Liberty (what a guitar) but they were sold over a decade and half ago when I bought my first house to get the down payment.

I could've got a Black one a few years ago for $500 at Sam Ash, and I'm kicking myself in the ass that I didn't. However, it was VERY heavy

Holy **** man, $500??? Now that's a steal!!! There was a beautiful sunburst Liberty that sold on Ebay with a $500 BIN a few months ago. But it sold within an hour of being listed so I missed the boat needless to say.

Mine looked almost exactly like that, except it had gold pickup covers and I believe block inlays. I've got to look at the picture. Someone traded me the Liberty for my Baretta, then I traded the Liberty for a 73 Marshall 50 watt stack in 1990 or 91. Then I sold the Marshall in 92 to buy my first house. For....$500. I think I paid $275 for the Baretta around 85.

I'm incredibly sorry that I got rid of the Baretta, Especially the Liberty and especially the Marshall.

uh boy.

It was sweet, but a Marshall was waved under my nose.
