Volume matching

Will I be able to match the volume of a Quater Pound (flats) neck and middle to the volume of a Screaming Deamon only with height adjustments, without using the 'pot' option?

Re: Volume matching

What is the pot option? Changing pot values is for tone matching the high end not output. But those pickups should balance fine the demon is pretty gutless for a humbucker. If anything the QPs might be a bit loud and need to be lowered a touch

Re: Volume matching

Do you already have the Quarter Pound??

If you are trying to get those "in between" sounds, you might want to think about an SSL-1.

I think the Quarter Pound would over power the demon when tapped.

It's the Quater Pound that is offered with a tapped option, though I plan to split&paralell the Deamon, too.

Quarter pounders will drown out a split demon something fierce.

In humbucking mode it can keep up ok'ish. anything else is asking for trouble.

Re: Volume matching

Thank you, Edgecrusher. I agree now, after yet another comparison...

How about the volume mathch of the split Screaing Demon (bridge) with the Custom SSl-6 (neck). The Custom is also offered with a tapped option, which I don't want to use if possible; would I match the volume of the these two just with height adjustment?

P.S. I don't like the sond of the SSL-1 (2) - I want something warmer for the neck position. I'm thinking of SSL-6 in the neck and the Alnico II Pro APS-2 in the middle with the Screaming Demon in the bridge. These are the sounds that I like, but I'm not sure how they compare volume wise.
