Volume Pot All The Way Down Still Produces Slight Signal

Hey All,
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and maybe help me out. I have a Les Paul with 2 humbuckers, 2 volume, 2 tone with push/pull, 3-way switch, and a Neutrik locking jack.

When the bridge pickup is selected, and the volume is all the way down (with the neck volume up), there is the slightest output still.
If I roll down the neck volume, it goes away.

Only if both neck and bridge volumes are both down does the guitar get completely silent.

I'm fairly sure the short answer is the guitar isn't properly grounding, but the wiring appears correct. I referenced multiple wiring diagrams. Any other obvious things I should be looking at?

Thanks again, the output is so slight and nothing I can't work around, but for my own piece of mind I am just dying to know the answer to this issue!

Just off the top of my head ... is it wired for independent volume control?

Can you share the wiring diagram you used? Since it is a LP I assume the volume are independent, or at least supposed to be. Since the signal is low it sounds like some signal is bleeding through a cap or something to the volume pot of the other pickup. Does turning the tone controls all the way up or down make any difference?

If it worked before, and it's a problem now, then its dirt in the volume control. A shot of Deoxit will fix it. If it's never worked properly, it's probably a bad solder joint, or a loose connection. (To ground.)

When I first assembled my HH homebuilt guitar I wired it for independent volume controls (hot wire to center lug if I remember correctly?). I thought it was great until I realized it had exactly the problem you describe. I swapped the wires back to the more standard configuration right after that show.

It shouldn't do that. There's something wrong there.

It's probably a grounding issue. Re-soldering and wiring ground lugs might be good start.
