volume pot value

I just ordered a 78 from the custom shop (trembucker, 4 conductor) and was curious as to the volume pot value. It will be going in an American Standard, Maple neck with a Floyd. I'm a little concerned that with an A2 mag that it MAY not be very articulate and may be a bit mushy. Any advise is appreciated.

Just use 500K pots. I like CTS. With my '78 I use two CTS 500K pots and a .022 tone cap. The tone cap is connected to the middle terminal of the volume pot to help retain highs when the volume pot is turned down: the 50's mod.
