Vox 15R improvement

There was someone here inquiring about mods to the 15R. The amp stock is quite good. I have found that using an ART TubePAC in front of the amp gives some great tone. The TubePAC actually uses its 12AX7A in the audio path. Setting the 15R gain control is a tiny bit fussy, and should be kept low unless one wants the "wall of hornets" sound.

One thing I've learned.
Better get any job, and take nice money within a month, and buy a decent amp which you can play for next 10 years with a smile on your face :)
Much less time lost. I've been modding my cheap stuff for years, but no use.

Ive found one, advertised as new, with pricing that seems too good to be true.

Does anyone know of counterfeit Vox AC4TV amps?

Thanks for the Art Tube Pac recommendation. I really like my 15R and it might be possible to like it even more. Other things I have read recently is that people replace the speaker with a 10" ragin' cajun to get better sound and more decibels. I wonder if graphic equalizers might also be useful.
