Vox 848 Reissue Clyde McCoy Wah Porn

I was replacing the Fulltone pot inside of my Vox 848 wah today and so I thought some of you might like to see what the insides of the Vox 848 looks like?

This is a cool wah,as it comes already with true bypass(DPDT Switch)and a board mounted power supply and extra buffered board components on the input of the wah..It comes stock with a red dunlop fasel inductor...I still like the Fulltone pot and inductor and so you can see those in the photos..I've changed over to BC109s(I Love these)and some board tweaks and a side mounted volume control..A "Q" control would be cool also,but since I have the wah dialed in nicely,I really don't feel the need for a second mounted pot...

These wahs are around $50 more than the 847..I Payed $100 for this one and these are great wahs if you can find one cheap! Curly bought one also and his has the fulltone components and is also tweaked...

I have the same Wah. I was using this exclusivley...... Until you modded my Crybaby. This really is one of the best "factory" Wahs for the money. I think I paid 70$ for mine used a few years ago.

My modded 847 ate this thing up for breakfast in it's stock form,but it's a great platform to mod,since it's got true bypass and a power supply and a good board to work on...
