Vox AC15VR?

Anyone try this bad boy? After deciding to sell my Classic 30 head and Avatar vintage 30 2x12 cab, I've been looking for a quieter amp that still sounds nice. Not looking to spend much and this one seems like it would be a worthy compeditor.

I play clean channel amps with distortion pedals in the vein of heavy rock. Thanks

Re: Vox AC15VR?

The MusikSchmidt clip on youtube is impressive (the VR30 seemed a bit flat in comparison). While I was on my Honeymoon, I heard a guy jamming through one at a music shop, and it sounded pretty nice to me. Not "spot on" but if you cannot crank an actual AC15 Custom or original or whatever, it's a decent alternative.

ErikH played one the other day and told me it was pretty sweet for the $.

Vox does really well at "modelling"- ESPECIALLY their own amps. The VR though is SS into the Valve Reactor, whereas the VT/AD series are digital into the VR.

i played it and i like it. . .breaks up a little early, but very sweet at low volume and i did like the break up too, just wish it came a little later, cause I like lots of clean headroom. it is a very sweet amp, in my opinion. .

Dude, you went to a music store on your honeymoon? I like your style, bro!
