I've heard a lot of good things about the VOX... How well does it handle being pushed by pedals? Does it still get harsh or does it just sounds like a pedal-pushed amp?

One thing it's awesome at is low/mid gain growly stuff. Almost bought one on the spot with that sound and some neck pickup goofing.

Hi Johnny,

It performs very very well with pedals. Everything I've put in front of it sounded great: Mesa V-twin, every OD I have works amazingly well (Boss, SD-1, Cool Cat Transparent, Cool cat OD, Blues Driver, Tubescreamer, etc...).

The clean is very chimey and nice. It loves pedals for just a tiny bit of break-up or a lot more, depending on what the pedal gives it. I could get some very nice and juicy liquid metal tones with the V-Twin.

The Dirty tone is very middy and rocks a lot. There's more gain on tap than expected. It's great for old school punk indeed. A little OD on top of it and it sounds amazing as well for heavier things.

It's quite versatile.
