Vox Tonebender- Give Me Some Info!

ok...... so i see an ad for a Vox Tonebender fuzz and its $50........now ive been lookin for a fuzz pedal for a while now but i never wanted to dish out a couple hundred for a boutique pedal

now im wondering, what exactly does this tonebender sound like? and was there any reissues of it or am i lookin at a real 60s one? because i think that would be worth a good amount of money if it was real.....

just any advice i would appreciate....

actually, I'm used to seeing the same pedal in a silver crinkle paint, but you get the idea ... it's not a small pedal - almost as large as a wah ... but that one is closer to the price you'll see an original one go for

I think Vox made a repro model a few years ago, but it was a different shape

well this guy has an old Vox Bass amp from the 60s as well...... so im thinkin its an original because of that and because it doesnt say reissue or anything....

well, what about the sound? i just want a cool fuzz sound......

the Vox Tonebender is my favorite type fuzz!

that's what my best friend & band mate had in high school, and it cranked

but, I'd say if it's original, it could need work, just from the years that it's been around ... test it well

I had one in the 60's. I liked it alot. From what I remember, it was similar to a Fuzz Face...maybe even the same or a very similar circuit. Lew

so you guys think i should go for it? even if its not the silver cased one, i think ill dig the sound.......even if its a reissue ill probably buy it because i wanted a decent fuzz and not to spend too much...
