Vox Tonelab ST thru a Boss ME-25 or Line 6 M9?

I've been thinking lately and planning of acquiring 2 good multi effects - Vox Tonelab ST which is quite famous for its Amp Modeling then maybe after some time, the newly released Boss ME 25. I was wondering if I can cascade them and make good sound out of this combo. Knowing that the vox has a tube to make amp models sound warmer with 33 different amp models to choose from, I also have this new boss with the complete range of Modulation effects + Delays + Reverbs + Tap tempo features + phrase looper.

I can make a versatile system out of these two. Both will compensate (Ideally) for their weaknesses in the process. The main downfall here is the word "digital" but with the technology nowadays, everything seems to be going strong for modeling.

I don't know, maybe you can help me here. Maybe one of you guys already have both of them and could try it - then let me know how it goes..

Just look, for less than 200$ a unit, you could have a do-it-all system (for recording and also in a live setting)

I also like the Line 6 M9 as an alternative for the Boss but its pretty expensive.

Here's the planned set up: Vox Tonelab ST --> (Optional) A + B Looper/ Switcher --> Boss ME 25 --> (Optional) MXR 10Band EQ -->AMP or PA

i'd go M9 if i were you. I'm saving up for one. Miks has one right? For the price of the ST and ME25, you can get an M9.

I can't say for those specificaly but I'd really make sure you try that before you plan on going that route.

If you cascade two processors together you are adding the amount of analog/digital conversions which I think a lot of the subtle nuances of your sound and playing are lost, effectively making the overall sound image duller. It might work..but I'm just saying, it would probably be a good safe bet you should try before you do something like that
