Vox Valvetronix 120 Watt Head A Keeper!

I Like the tones I've been hearing out of this head already after dialing some cool ones up with my great ears! It's very easy to dial up the tones quickly..I get the amp style dialed in and then the tone controls and the gain...After that,I decide on what effect(s)if any that I need and then dial the effects up...If the effects color the original tones,I then just readjust my tone controls until I have it dialed in,press "write" twice and the new preset I made is saved to a bank and set number preset position..The amp is very easy to learn on and it has great tone...Great bang for the money I think..The Vox tones are very cool and very usable and I haven't even tryed alot of the other amp models yet...Looking forward to it though!

Hey John, do you know what the difference between the VT 2x12 and the VTX 2x12 combo is? I assume that it is an older version but I know that I shouldn't assume anything.

The VTX is the latest upgraded version...I know they did some cabinet fixing and may have improved on the software a bit...The VTX is supposed to have better tone and is the recent upgrade to the line and uses the NeoDog speakers..

I love using the AD60 head as my practice rig. It's like the history of guitar tones at your fingertips. All the clean tones and Recto + OD models are killer. The midgain amps like the Marshalls and boutiques take some tweaking to get good settings.
Overall, good ears and some time dialing it in is all that's needed to get an endless number of guitar sounds out of it.

VTX is closed back, VX is not. I thought the NeoDogs were just that... Dogs.
