my dad went to Long & McQuade and got me my pickups, Distortion/Dimebucker, and it came to $265 (Canadian), they didnt have the DD in stock so theyre ordering it in, i have to wait for like almost 2 weeks, and i cant wait im so excited:)

i'll let you guys know when i get them and tell ya what i think.

Re: waiting for the pickups

dime/distortion combo, that would be intresting. I hope you like them. waiting sucks. we all expect reviews and clips of the pickups when you get 'em both installed.(or at least i want reviews and clips).

Re: waiting for the pickups

i dont have any recording equipment hooked up to my computer so i cant do that, sorry, but i'll tell you how i like the set up

Re: waiting for the pickups

I think you made a tough choice with the distortion+dimebucker.

Let us know what you think of the pup's when you have played them for a while.

Re: waiting for the pickups

nah its cool my hopes are as high as ever again... has anyone ever heard anyone else with this setup?

Re: waiting for the pickups

yeah its great, ive had it for a year now, cause i got it my last birthday, and its great, only one problem which ive mentioned before is the balance of the weight, the neck is heavier than the body so it weighs the neck side down when you stand up and play, but i always have my arm slighty resting on the big spike(which anyone would do, really) which stops it from weighing the neck down.

Yup. That was my concern as well. I am planing to get one for my niece for her birthday. She has been borrowing my strat for close to 6 months now, and I really want it back.

Re: waiting for the pickups

awsome, yeah my friend has been borrowing my squire strat ever since ive got this guitar just about, or a couple months after, now hes got him self a new acoustic so sometime i plan on putting the strings on upside down and play left handed  itd be wierd, like starting all over again

but yeah get her the guitar, but i think you should do something about the floyd rose, unless shes a crazy wammier, you should lock that bridge down so she can use more soloing techniques
