Waiting on gear sucks....

I've got a bunch of parts ordered from various outfits and I'm just sitting here waiting. As soon as I get these chassis' in, I can get the faceplates cut and be able to give out some rather accurate measurements to the guy I am working with on the heads and combos.

But waiting is horrible when you really get excited about something, right?

What do they say, hurry up and wait. ;)

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

I agree. I've been waiting on a custom body and neck since February . The wait should be over next week though.

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

FCK yeah waiting on my carvin is the most nerve racking thing in the world it comes in july 11

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

I have been waiting to finsih my CD for about 10 months, delays are beyond my control. I have gone from agonizing rage, to just letting it happen when it happens. I won't do it this way ever again....

Now if only that Swamp Thang I ordered last week would get here....

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

i hate waiting too...i have various things on order and i'm going nuts waiting. plus, backorder sucks even more as does "it takes about 2-3 weeks to build". i have two pedals i'm waiting for and i cant finish my pedalboard 'til they get here and it sucks!

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

Been waiting almost 17 months on my Driskill and I haven't even picked a top yet. :(

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

I rely on my Vox Valvetronix as my main practice amp, since I live in an apartment and practice at night. It's been in the shop for over 5 weeks and it's killing me. I never thought I'd miss a modeling amp so much, but it's impracticle to use my tube amps at home. My main amps are at a rehearsal studio, which I only see once a week!

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

there are good and bad times that you have to wait IMO. But when it comes to gear, it sucks.

I'm stuck waiting for my damn L&M to hurry up and order some more Epi Les Paul Customs. The one they have in shop right now is an embarrassment, and from past experiences (which are a lot), every one good Epi is equivelent to three or four ****ty Epi's.

Oh well.. by Monday they said they'd have some more in : party:

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

no crap man i got this body sitting here but im kinda waiting cause i ordered a momentary switch and it didnt show the size of the hole i need for it on the site so i gotta wait for that to get it drilled, other than that its like the only hole on my guitar that needs to be drilled out before i can paint it... its been like a few weeks on the thing and its still not here :-\

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

I know what you mean, I´m waiting on my Rack (the physical case), and it seems to be taking forever.... Same deal with my Alesis Noise Gate.... :(

Sit back, crack open a beer and wait, that´s all we can do :beerchug:

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

Hey, Scott_F. Waiting sure sucks. Hope you get your parts soon. I am really looking forward to see/hear your amps.

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

Yeah, I keep waiting for that '59 LP to come in. I'm beginning to wonder about it though.:D

Scott, they also say good things come to those who wait, but Xeromus will tell you that just isn't true with FedEx. We're all waiting with you on this one, though. We can't wait to see/hear the finished products.

Re: Waiting on gear sucks....

I just remembered the biggest problem about waiting for new gear: The GAS gets even worse :smack:

Proof of point: I bought an Alesis Microverb III about half an hour ago :D:D:D:D
