Are you sure? have you done it before and liked it or is it an experiment? ceramic SD in neck just seems like it would = :no: IMO. But I could be wrong!

Congrats on a VERY attractive body neck combo also.

Oh oh oh oh and +1 on wood mount pups in this guitar! All day baby.

Update: 99% finished and boy does she rock! :headband: I am so glad I went with the Gibson scale Strat neck--it's amazing. The pickup combo is perfect for not having a tone knob--the Dimebucker is my new favorite pickup...this thing roars but is articulate, bold and the harmonics just sing! SD should advertise (if they don't already) the Screamin Demon as a neck pickup--it's a little dark on this guitar but is such an incredible neck pickup especially for lead playing! If you want a Floyd Rose non-locking alternative, then I HIGHLY suggest this Schaller #3801. It's a direct replacement for a German Floyd and has awesome roller saddles. It stays in tune and sounds/reacts like a Floyd.

Remaining work includes chrome (or direct mount, via Kramersteen's link) pickup rings as the black were a quick fix to get it up and running. And swapping the Alnico V for a ceramic magnet in the Screamin Demon, hopefully to increase the output and make it a tad brighter.

Sorry I never responded to this! I have not tried this before--the reason is two fold. 1. To try and bring more power to the Screamin Demon to match the Dimebucker and 2. To try and brighten up the Screamin Demon as it is a little dark.

I love the combo just want more output and added brightness. :)

Maybe its just me, but it kinda looks like the routing of either the pickups or the tremolo is off just a tad...not a worry because it plays and sounds awesome but kinda throws my eyes for a curve lol

Not seeing what you are on it. Will say that I had a MJ Wound Screamin' Demon Neck Position and it was exactly as you described in the neck. Additionally, I always liked the results with the Dimebucker as well...versatile and underrated and splits quite nicely.

That trem is interesting. I personally love non-recessed Floyds, but that's an interesting alternative.

Ha! Well, the distance between the trem posts and the bridge pickup seems a tad off to me...could be a figment of my imagination but thats what it appears to be. lol

And the neck position is not in anyway a bad thing! I think SD should (if they already don't) advertise the Demon as a neck pickup or make a neck version as this thing is awesome in the neck position! I would say the Dimebucker is extremley underated...I was expecting like a super metal pickup but really its a super versatile pickup, IMO.

Thanks! And this trem is awesome! Its just a tad off from a true Vintage Strat spacing, not a big deal to me as I have a lot of room on this neck for the spacing. It stays in tune really well and sounds/reacts just like a Floyd only not locked in (which I like.)

I like to divebomb and make weird noises that would make a non-locking trem freak out, but it's definitely a good suggestion for people tired of locking trems. Would go well with this.

Ahhhh! So you divebomb! ;) I like to "flick it" to get a growl sound–but don't divebomb. lol

I will check into that nut, haven't seen that before! I've also thought about a roller nut as these roller saddles are awesome!

That turned out really nice. I love Walnut and think it should get used more in guitars. I keep eyeing up all the Walnut trees in my yard, and thinking of how many guitars they could get turned into...

Thanks! It turned out really nice and is a great tonewood! With the Mahogany neck and Rosewood board, it makes a very warm combo that is perfect for the Dimebucker. Perhaps you could sell the Walnut slabs? I was fortunate to get a solid 1 piece body–love it!
