harrisondavid, I know what you mean about the EMG's and lack of harmonics, I had an 85 and an 81 in the bridge slot of one of my guitars previously and I just couldn't hit the pinch harmonics on it like I could on my guitars with passives. I'm not an active fan to begin with and that gave me one more reason to switch back to some seymours.

Hmm.... I might be on to something. Don't get me wrong I can get great harmonics from the 85 also have both pups set close the the strings as well.
Maybe im just noticing how underated the gibson pups are. I still haven't tried any seymours yet :smack:

Wish I had a scenario for a trade......it's gonna have to be a really good one. I am not unhappy with my EMGs.

If I do go passive. I would entertain a Custom Custom bridge(Zebra) and A2P or PG Neck(zebra)

I also have experience with the CC, I couldn't stand the lack of highs and bass in it. It was really tight, but that's because it didn't have to handle those frequencies. Les Pauls are already warm enough so I really wouldn't suggest the CC, if you really like the sound of the 85 in the bridge I'd go with the C5 instead. I fully recommend the A2P for the neck however, it's ss sweet sounding.
